Wednesbury Action for the Re-siting of Telephone masts

Welcome to our web site.
We represent a growing number of people who are fighting for their rights in the ever
increasing proliferation of mobile telephone masts and antennae. These are being sited without consultation or the knowledge of local people, in areas which are having a direct effect on the well-being of everyone from toddlers to pensioners. The purpose of this site is to provide links to other major UK web sites that can give you further information for you to use in your own campaigns against local Councils and Planning departments, to prevent the erection of these masts and antennae against the wishes of local residents
and eventually get Planning Legislation changed.

There is no doubt that this Government is ignoring the mounting evidence that mobile telephone antennae are having adverse health effects on more and more of the general population. It is vital that local planning officers are not allowed to rubber stamp "Prior Approval" or "Full Planning Applications" by Mobile Telephone Companies who wish to install these antennae on the property of private landowners, without the proper consultation with local schools, nurseries, and residents. There are several so called "Guidelines" which are always quoted by Planners, Telephone Companies and Councils in an effort to persuade everyone that the emissions are perfectly safe and will have no adverse effect on the general population. This is false for a number of reasons. Here are just a few.

Watch out, they are
everywhere.
On blocks of flats, behind advertising boards, disguised as alarm boxes
and lamp posts, in petrol station signs, on chimney stacks, on masts. Almost anywhere you can think of.

  1. Many of the reports quoted (e.g. The Stewart Report) are out of date, and had no safety limits data available on which to base their "guideline figures".
  2. Testing of "No thermal Biological Effects" were conducted on pieces of dead flesh. Not the best criteria for making judgements on live people!
  3. U.K. has substantially the highest electromagnetic field guidelines in the world (51 volts/metre).
  4. The studies in France by Santini, in Holland at TNO, and in Spain by Navarro have shown that reversible
illness occur at around 1 volt/metre. This means that the guideline 51 volts/metre is approximately
50 times the 1 volt/metre which causes reversible non specified illnesses.

This means that LESS electromagnetic fields are safer for health, and fields that have frequencies near

Brain Frequencies (TETRA) are WORSE, and fields that have many sharp wave fronts (G3) are also WORSE.
It follows that the voltages to give reversible illness are not much different than those to cause much harder
to reverse illnesses after about 7 years.
